So every year, 3 to 6 months before my birthday, I have a vision of what I want to look like for my birthday. Then 3 days before my birthday I'm over everything and just want to stay home.
Since I learned how to sew 3 years ago I've been meaning to sew my birthday outfits and everyday life clothes but I have no idea what happens during the attempts. I'm a master procrastinator. This Year I did it, I finally made my outfit. I changed my design so many times that I didn't start sewing until the week of my birthday. I actually bought fabric for the dress on the day of my birthday.

I actually bought fabric for the dress on the day of my birthday.
I was also eyeballing this crown my store had in stock. Okay
really I was hiding it because it spoke to my soul. It gives me ice princess
vibes like when I place this crown on my head “no one can stop me I’m all the
way up”!
I had no intentions
on actually doing my hair. So I decided to buy a wig which was a very cute
asymmetrical bob with the longer side curled flipped and all swirly. The roots
of the wig is black and it fades into a raspberry pink color. I adore it and I
just knew it would complement the crown and enhance my ice princess vibe. My
initial birthday dress was supposed to be the iconic Marilyn Monroe white
halter dress. I stuck with that idea for a while too until I looked in my
fabric stash. It was peeking up at me crying “choose me, pick me, I’m the one
you want” so I picked it up and said “YES! You are the key to making this ice
princess vibe pop”. The Marilyn Monroe style was still the direction just not as much movement and with plastic.
I’m going to let everyone know now this was my first time actually
sewing vinyl. It was difficult mainly because of its smooth texture. You also
have to be very mindful of where you pin it because it creates holes in the
fabric. I used a glitter ribbon to make the trim along the top and bottom of
the circle skirt and a white zipper. The easiest part was strategically placing
the stickers, Swarovski crystals and neon studs. I wanted to buy these flesh
toned crystallized stockings from dbleudazzled
to set it off when I step into a room but I ended up not purchasing
them. My shoes were also crystallized to perfection still allowing every step I
take to be noticed especially when the light hits it. And I wore a white
striped tube dress that I sewed 10 minutes before I stepped out the house.
